Adjusting to my new world

Mom & Ben came to visit and it was great!….. to see people I know, to laugh, walk, hike, eat & laugh more with people I love. I wanted them to stay…….forever – but they had to get back to their worlds. I cried. Being alone has been such a challenge for me, I’m such a social girl. I’ve made a pact with myself to hike everyday I’m off work, which has been a lot  lately. I haven’t finished all my corporate indoctrination classes yet. The schedule for these is pretty random in these slow weeks before the holidays kick in. Here are some pics from the last couple days of strolling in this beautiful place I get to live in. Walking path to the falls.Fog and Falls.Lower Yosemite Falls.John Muir- the reason this valley is here for us all to enjoy.Lower Mirror Lake.Upper Mirror Lake.Ben found this really cool rock stacking garden up by mirror lake.Mom and Ben, heading home…..:(

It’s clear sunny and almost 50 today so I’m off to hike and enjoy the intense beauty of this place, so lucky to be here.

Sarah…what an amazing venture you are on? When times are tough, just sit back, relax, and think of how you will have changed when these short months pass. When the end of this journey is near, you will be wanting it to last a bit longer! Thinking of you and wishing you well! You are an inspiration!!!

Hugs and kisses to you all day long! We miss you and can’t wait to see you next week and hear more stories!! Pancakes, waffles and scones for days! Crossing my fingers you get to the bread station sooner than later!!

  4. Sarah, I am beyond excited for you! I just finished catching up on all your recent posts and I have to say, I am so impressed by you having the courage to step into your future. What a wonderful opportunity you’ve been given. Let’s make a pact to keep in touch because I know how hard it is to be away from family – I’m dealing with this right now myself. You are an inspiration Sarah!
